At ELSO Inc.,  we are committed to diversity.

By supporting our campers’ interests and increasing the visibility of people of color as Camp Guides and Educators, we hope to not only debunk stereotypes of traditional STEAMED learners but affirm the identity of Black and Brown children.

WE PROVIDE PAID TRAINING AND A COMPETITIVE WAGE

All camp guides and seasonal staff participate in virtual classrooms, outdoor adventures, and overnight training retreats. During trainings we develop leadership skills, write and review lesson plans, practice group management, engage in cultural and historical learning, and go on outdoor excursions.

SAFETY AND SECURITY IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY

We work hard to create a safe space for campers to freely Experience Life Science Outdoors! To become a member of ELSO part-time, full-time, and even volunteer, you must undergo a background check, verification of references, and mandatory training.

We are always striving to form dynamic partnerships that will benefit our community and the youth we serve. ELSO Inc. seeks to build a mutually beneficial network of like-minded community partners who also work with underserved communities.
